Splitgate 2 Twitch Drops enabled for Alpha
08 / 20 / 24
Attention, streamers and viewers of Twitch: we've got your Twitch Drops right here!
Do you want a Splitgate 2 Alpha key, granting you immediate access when the servers open on August 21? Or are you a Twitch streamer who'd love to stream Splitgate 2 during Alpha? We've got you covered with Twitch Drops.
Yep, we're making Twitch Drops available to anyone who streams Splitgate 2 on Twitch on August 21, between 12 noon Pacific (3pm Eastern, 8pm UK, 9pm CET) until 8pm Pacific (11pm Eastern, 4am UK, 5am CET, August 22), or until we run out of keys.
Scratch that! We still have Alpha keys and we know you want more Twitch Drops, so we’re extending the campaign. Starting at 12 noon Pacific today, August 23 (3pm Eastern, 8pm UK, 9pm CET), until 12 noon Pacific tomorrow, August 24 (3pm Eastern, 8pm UK, 9pm CET), Twitch Drops will be active again. 24 hours of drops!
If you're a viewer, watching participating Splitgate 2 streams for two hours will get you a Twitch Drop, which after being claimed will grant you an Alpha key. If you're a streamer, well, you are about to become one popular person.
Here's how Twitch Drops work for both streamer and viewer:

For Twitch Streamers
We have enabled Twitch Drops for any channel that streams Splitgate 2 during the Twitch Drop campaign on August 21. To take part, you need to do two things:
Link your Twitch account to your 1047 Games account. Visit account.1047games.com and either sign up for a new account, or login to an existing one. (Note: if you created a 1047 Games account before July 18, 2024, you’ll need to reset your password.) When you're logged in click the "Link" button under the Twitch icon, follow the instructions on Twitch and you'll be linked in no time.
If you do not have Twitch Drops enabled on your channel, visit your Twitch Drops page to enable them. You can either go directly, or navigate to it via your Creator Dashboard / Viewer Rewards / Drops. Enable drops at the top of the page and start streaming Splitgate 2. (Make sure you selectSplitgate 2, not Splitgate, or the drops will not work.)
"Hey blog writer," you say, "I am a streamer and I'd love to stream Splitgate 2, but I don't have an Alpha key!"
Well, there are a few ways you can grab yourself a key to start streaming.
- If you received an Alpha preview key, you can access the Alpha!
- You can request access via the Splitgate 2 store page.
- Join our Discord and make sure to follow our socials to find additional ways to gain a key as a steamer.

For Twitch Viewers
Link your Twitch account to your 1047 Games account. Visit account.1047games.com and either sign up for a new account, or login to an existing one. (Note: if you created a 1047 Games account before July 18, 2024, you’ll need to reset your password.) When you're logged in click the "Link" button under the Twitch icon, follow the instructions on Twitch and you'll be linked in no time.
Find a Twitch channel streaming Splitgate 2 with drops enabled. You can click here to visit the Splitgate 2 directory, specifically filtered to streamers with drops. All you need to do is watch Splitgate 2 streams for two hours and you'll get yourself an Alpha key.
Remember, you'll need to be watching the stream to claim your drop, or it'll get passed to another viewer. While you can watch more than one streamer playing Splitgate 2 to get to your total of two hours, watching more than one stream at once will not speed up your drop.
When you've watched for the required amount of time you’ll see a notification from Twitch, informing you that your drop is incoming. Visit your Twitch Drops inventory to claim your drop.
Once your drop is claimed, we’ll automatically send out your Alpha key via email (to your registered 1047 Games account email). It can take a few minutes for the email to be sent, so please be patient - and make sure to check your spam just in case.
Redeem your Alpha key via Steam like you would any other game - in the Steam desktop client by clicking the "Add a Game" button in the bottom left, or via the Steam website.
We hope you enjoy playing, watching and streaming Spitgate 2 during Alpha. Make sure you join us in Discord to talk Splitgate.

FAQs on Twitch Drops
How long do I have to watch a stream for an Alpha key? Does it need to be on one channel?
You’ll need a combined total of two hours watch time on Splitgate 2 streams to get an Alpha key. That two hours can be split between multiple streamers, so feel free to visit multiple streams (and tell them we sent you).
Can I watch a streamer’s VOD of Splitgate 2 and claim an Alpha key?
No, sorry, only live viewing on August 23-24 (noon to noon, Pacific) will count for watch time for Twitch Drops.
Do I need to be watching via browser?
You can either claim Twitch Drops when watching Twitch in a browser, or via the Twitch app on iOS or Android. Other platforms do not support drops.
How will I know I get Alpha access?
You will get a notification from Twitch which will direct you to your Twitch Drops inventory. There, follow the instructions to claim your drop, and then an email will be sent to your 1047 Games account email with your Alpha key.
How do I redeem an Alpha key?
Open your Steam desktop client and click the “Add a Game” button on the bottom left. Then copy/paste the key where requested - make sure not to include any extra spaces. Alternatively you can visit the Steam website to redeem directly.
